After reading The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society, you may be tempted to take a literary field trip – I was.   The publisher accommodates with a map of sites mentioned in the book, and an article from the Boston Globe describing such a trip.

PBS produced a five-episode Masterpiece Theater series in 2005 based on the German occupation of the islands, titled “Island at War.”

  1. I wasn’t really taken with this book — but then, I tried to listen to it while working. I think I’ll try again and either listen while doing something less demanding or maybe even read it.
