The Ides of March

Known as the worst day in Julius Caesar’s life, The Ides of March is also one of Thornton Wilder’s best stories.

Written as a series of letters (epistolary novel), the fictionalized version of Caesar’s life, power, and interactions includes dinner parties, gossip, spies, and assassins.

All the major players are included – Cleopatra, Cicero, Catullus, Brutus – and others.  Caesar becomes human and it’s a fun way to review history and celebrate March 15th  – the Ides of March – even if you already know the ending.
