I Want My Hat Back

Picture books can be just as much for adults as children.  The double entendre in the last line of  It’s A Book started a controversy – but it bothered some adults more than the children.  I just got a tip from an avid reader that a new book – that has the New York Times Best Illustrated Book of the Year imprimatur – is “going viral.”  I Want My Hat Back is witty and fun.

When a bear loses his hat, he questions all his animal friends, but, of course, no one has seen it – not even when it’s in plain sight.

I haven’t seen anything...” Sound familiar?

When he realizes he’s been had – the bear sees red – and gets his stolen hat back.

Get a copy and reread it out loud a few times with someone.
